Playroom Remodel - Demo, Replacement, and Exterior Finish

Our biggest project to date is our playroom. It was an addition that was eventually closed-in and was in really rough shape. It was swarming with bugs due to it not being sealed the way it should be. It was incredibly drafty due to the 9 windows and a door that encased the walls. It has T-11 siding as walls and is poorly insulated. My dream was when we purchased our home - floor to ceiling bookshelves on one wall (cabinets even in the bottom half so we can store toys/crafts/homeschool items) and a big set of double french doors leading out to our backyard. We ordered the doors from Jeld-Wen custom. I learned, during this process, that I was extremely picky about the doors I wanted. We started demo with the outside wall and replaced with Hardie Lap Siding - take a look at those windows and the replacements

We finished the exterior replacement and interior drywall. We've got doors in and everything sealed up. We moved on to the outside lap siding by James Hardie. It's my favorite stuff for sure. It makes SUCH a difference in the way our home looks. (We've slowly replaced a couple areas on our exterior with the Hardie - and eventually the rest of the siding on our home will be replaced too). We finished it off with some paint - Dovetail by Sherwin Williams. Such a great view now. So excited about the way this place is starting to look!
