Heights Rehab Uno
/We had the wonderful opportunity to rehab a home in the coveted Richardson Heights. We had the privilege of purchasing the home from its original and only owner and we hope that we made him proud with the final product.
When he came to us, his health was failing and he needed to move to be closer to family. His home wasn't in a show state and due to his health, he wouldn’t be able to get it to the desired look for market. We purchased it and went to work on getting it ready for the next family!
Let’s start with some befores!!!
Sometimes when we buy a house, it is just in rough shape. There isn’t anything else to be said about it. It had so much potential and the first thing I wanted to do was bring some more natural light to each room. As you looked through the pictures, I’m sure you noticed how dark and dreary it was. A little bit of sunlight goes a long way with the way a home looks and if I’m honest, the mental health of the people who live in the home. So we went to work to brighten up the space and make it flow better than its original layout. It is a HUGE home for this neighborhood and had so much potential. We had to bring its beauty back and ready for the next family to make memories in.
What used to be the single primary bathroom, we turned into a full single bathroom. We felt that the primary bathroom needed a little more space than this.
We removed extra built-ins (this house has a ton of storage already) and extended the vanity to a double sink. This allowed for much more space and a better use of it.
We completely reconfigured the primary bathroom. Adding a full size shower, a primary closet of dreams, and a large double vanity.
We removed an exterior door and added a window to the backyard. We felt this was a better use of space for the primary bathroom (which had been previously used as a laundry room - we moved that to the front of the house with the pantry!)
Now is the part you’ve been all waiting for.
We painted the exterior, add a new roof, trimmed trees, replaced windows, changed out the front and back doors.
As always, PaulGo did an incredible job capturing the glow-up of this beautiful family home in Richardson Heights.
